YOUR STORY ISN’T OVER YET

When it comes to the cares that come into our lives, Jesus told us to cast them on Him for He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7) Many times, I have cast my cares on the Lord and then I allowed that “care” to creep back into my thinking, and it manifested as fear and stress.

We know the outcome of the stories of people of faith like Noah, Abraham, Joseph and Moses; but when we are in the middle of own story, choosing to trust God can be difficult when fiery missiles seem to coming at you from all directions.

Fiery darts like rocket fire are going to come soaring through our minds, but we need to do the work of taking every thought that contradicts God’s Word captive like an enemy. Deploying the Word of God is a skill we can develop, and defensively, it acts like Israel’s iron dome system, sending counter missiles to intercept.

My counter missiles are Psalm 138:8 “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” and from Proverbs 3:5-6 “I choose to trust when I don’t understand.”

I also depend on the Holy Spirit to manifest His fruit in my life, especially His Love, which casts out all fear; His Joy, which is my strength; and His Peace, which I need in the midst of the storms.

So don’t lose hope… Your story isn’t over yet. (Jer. 29:11)
